Holly Pinafore
The name on my birth certificate is Danielle Travali. And I love it. Yet, I always laugh and joke around with people, promising them that don’t have an identity crisis when I sign my name as “Holly Pinafore.” Holly Travali has a nice rhyme to it, but Holly Pinafore is just so, well, whimsical.
I’m not a mental case, I promise (although once in a while I do throw my shoe against the wall when I get writer’s block or when men make me angry).
But my point is that Holly is not just a nickname or imaginary friend I’ve had since kindergarten; she is the confident inner diva I’d been seeking all my life. She is my soul. She is the quirky, curly-haired, red stiletto-wearing, scatterbrained, sometimes hot-tempered, imperfect side of me that I accept unconditionally. And I love her (not in an egocentric way, of course!).
So, I created a network of female writers who want to help others discover the strong, powerful woman inside themselves…and to set that woman free. My “divas” and I will not only teach you how to walk in high heels, but to walk with your chin held even higher!
